Blackguard

Media Reviews

black·guard [ˈblagaːd]

  1. A scoundrel; a rogue with a reputation for bending rules rather than breaking them.

  2. A term used playfully to describe someone who slips ahead of the crowd, often by unconventional means.

Blackguard Media Reviews grew out of that exact spirit. Reviewing became our way of accessing new films, shows, and live events before the general public; slipping aboard early screenings, advance copies, and opening nights. The name reflects that slightly roguish advantage: getting there first, reporting back honestly, and charting the course for everyone else.
