Tofiga announces new live NZ show with rising star Laban Miller
Good news! Tofiga Fepulea'i, the Humble King of Comedy has announced live shows round the motu for 2026 in his new hour of comedy Fresh Since Ages Ago, coming to Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton and Tauranga this August.
Tofiga, known for his decades-long career of cracking up generations of audiences, is bringing back beloved characters Aunty Tala, Uncle Sam, Master Tavita to the stage. Even more exciting - online comedy superstar Laban Miller is joining him too!
Tofiga is the most recent recipient of the prestigious Topp Prize, named for Dames Jools and Lynda Topp and bestowed by the NZ Comedy Trust to a trailblazing performer who’s made a huge impact to comedy in Aotearoa. Upon receiving the prize, Tofiga said: “Always grateful to be able to represent my family, and especially good old Kiwis, as a Samoan made in New Zealand. It’s lovely, I really appreciate it. And to be honoured by the Topps, I’m really humbled.”
A household name in homes across NZ, Samoa and Australia, and also throughout the Pacific Islands and the world - Tofiga has fans everywhere. His uniquely warm and hilarious comedy was made famous with The Laughing Samoans, has continued to grow with his comedy and broadcasting (he co-hosts the morning radio slot Island Time on the Pacific Media Network with Ina Vakaafi) and more recently gaining legions of new fans after competing on Taskmaster NZ. He even provided the voice for the storm god, Nalo in Disney’s Moana 2.
“I’m stoked to be bringing Aunty Tala, Uncle Sam and Master Tavita back to the stage and I’m especially hyped to bring the noise with Laban Miller. I reckon this will be the biggest, best, more hilarious show I’ve done yet!” says Tofiga.
Joining him on stage for Fresh Since Ages ago is Laban Miller. Miller is a rising online comedy super star, born and raised in Porirua and getting a huge worldwide audience through his skits and other content on social media. Miller has turned his own life experiences into comedy gold and gained tens of thousands of followers as a result.
