Prime Video Brings Highly Anticipated Book-to-Screen Adaptation The Love Hypothesis to Tamaki Makaurau, Auckland with Immersive Bookstore Experience

The week-long takeover of Enamoured Books Remuera from September 22 to 27 will feature engaging activations, daily activities and giveaways

The highly anticipated film The Love Hypothesis launches globally on Prime Video Wednesday, September 23 and fans in Tamaki Makaurau, Auckland are in for a treat. To celebrate, Prime Video is taking over Enamoured Books, Remuera, for a week-long immersive fan activation that brings the film to life and includes free daily activities and giveaways.

Based on the New York Times best-selling novel by Ali Hazelwood, The Love Hypothesis follows Olive (Lili Reinhart), a brilliant Ph.D. candidate focused on her future in academia. But when she realizes her best friend Ahn (Rachel Marsh) has fallen for her crush Jeremy (Nicholas Duvernay), Olive impulsively kisses intimidating professor Adam Carlsen (Tom Bateman) to prove she’s moved on.

What begins as a desperate act of friendship spirals into a fake relationship with rules, boundaries, and a mutually beneficial agreement. When their arrangement begins to blur the lines between performance and reality, Olive is forced to test her most daunting hypothesis yet: that love might actually be worth the risk.

The Love Hypothesis activation at Enamoured Books will run from Tuesday, September 22 until Sunday, September 27 during the store's opening hours. Fans are encouraged to visit the activation and step into the world of the film, capture content and share their experience on social media tagging @PrimeVideoAUNZ and @EnamouredBooks.

The activation will feature interactive photo moments as well as daily activities including The Cartery coffee cart, donuts, book bedazzling, tarot readings, and tote bag printing that’s free for fans who follow @PrimeVideoAUNZ on Instagram or TikTok, available first-come, first-served while stocks last. Limited merchandise will also be up for grabs for a select number of first in-customers each day of the activation.

Prime Video will launch the activation with an invite-only preview event for press and creators on Monday, September 21 at 6pm featuring Man Can Cook and tarot readings.

The cast of The Love Hypothesis includes Lili Reinhart, Tom Bateman, Rachel Marsh, Nicholas Duvernay, Jaboukie Young-White and Arty Froushan. The film is directed by Claire Scanlon and written by Sarah Rothschild.
